About Us
The Southern NSW Quarter Horse Association members have been promoting quarter horses and western breeds in the southern New South Wales and ACT area for over 30 years.

We are fully affiliated with the Australian Quarter Horse Association (www.aqha.com.au); our affiliation not only provides us with full insurance to cover all of our events but also allows us to run approved quarter horse shows.

The SNSWQHA caters to all western breed horses in the southern NSW and nearby regions to show their horses at high levels of all aspects of western horsemanship, whether it be western pleasure, trail classes, reining or halter events.

Our current membership base is approximately 40 members, and we attract upwards of 30 horses to each of our shows.

The association holds several events throughout the year which you can see on our calendar or social media pages. This helps beginners to complete on an even basis, and also helps to refresh the experienced riders to keep up with modern trends in the training of their own western horse.

The shows conducted by the SNSWQHA are judged by the best qualified judges available, often the judge will be from interstate. This ensures that the standard of competition is maintained at a high level.

The association caters for all western breeds, that is Appaloosa, Paint, Quarter Horse, etc, with classes held for each of these categories at all of our shows.

The SNSWQHA holds committee meetings bi-monthly.

The club also holds annual awards dinner and presentation night each year.

If there's a particular event or class you'd like to see added to our club calendar, feel free to let us know. If you'd like to volunteer your time for a particular position, please let us know too!
